“Advanced condition monitoring system for the assessment of wind turbines rotating parts”

Current wind turbine condition monitoring methodologies can be time-consuming, costly and can fail to achieve the reliability and operational efficiency required by the industry. For these reasons existing vibration-based Condition Monitoring System (CMS) usually fail to detect defects until they become critical.

The research leading to these results has received funding from the European Union’s Seven Framework Programme managed by REA – Research Executive Agency http://ec.europa.eu/research/rea [FP7/2012-2015] under grant agreement number: 286854
